Senior Interior Designer & Project Lead (Remote, Egypt)

We are hiring a Senior Interior Designer & Project Lead (8+ years experience) in Egypt to join our remote team. You will lead the interior design of a 10 000 m² compound of high end villas in Saudi Arabia, manage a small design team, and take responsibility for both 3D design and technical drawings.

What You Will Do

​

Design leadership

• Lead interior concept development for the first villa and define the design language for the full compound, based on the client’s overall direction.

• Translate client brief and studio guidelines into clear standards, materials, and layouts for the team.

• Develop space planning, layouts, and interior schemes for main villa spaces (living areas, bedrooms, circulation zones, amenities).

3D and visualization

• Work hands on in 3D on key areas and complex spaces.

• Supervise 3D modeling and rendering carried out by mid level designers.

• Review 3D models for accuracy, scale, and alignment with the approved design language.

• Set standards for cameras, composition, lighting, and render quality, and give clear feedback on test and final renders.

Technical drawings and documentation

• Coordinate with technical drafters to produce full interior technical drawing sets for each villa.

• Set and maintain drawing standards for the project, including layering, line weights, sheet layouts, and naming conventions.

• Define and track the list of required drawings per villa: plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, joinery details, tiling layouts, and lighting and power layouts at coordination level.

• Review, redline, and approve drawings before delivery, and handle or refine critical details yourself when needed.

Project planning and team management

• Break down the compound scope into phases, milestones, and weekly targets.

• Assign tasks to designers and drafters, and monitor progress across multiple villas in parallel.

• Ensure internal deadlines are met so that client milestones are achieved on time.

• Flag risks early to the Studio Director with clear proposed solutions.

Quality control and file management

• Maintain organized cloud folders for models, renders, and CAD files.

• Enforce file naming conventions and version control across the team.

• Use checklists to verify that each package (design, visuals, drawings) is complete before submission.

Requirements

• 8 plus years of professional experience in interior design or architecture, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.

• Proven experience on high end residential or villa projects, ideally in Saudi Arabia or the wider Gulf region.

• Strong portfolio showing both design quality and functional layouts.

• Hands on skills in:

  • 3ds Max and Corona Renderer (or equivalent high end renderer).

  • AutoCAD (Revit is a plus).

• Ability to produce and review both 3D renders and full interior technical drawing sets.

• Experience coordinating with other disciplines (MEP, structure) at drawing level.

• Comfortable managing a small remote team, giving feedback, and owning deadlines.

• Reliable computer and internet connection for 3D and remote collaboration.

• Very good Arabic and good English.
